Portfolio Paintings 22-23

Oh no! It is the last month of 2024. I had set a goal to submit my portfolio to Milan Art by the end of the year to apply for graduation. I have twenty paintings completed so far and I have three on the easel to finish. I am close but need to buckle down and finish these three and another two. It is not an easy task during the holidays and travel.

South Beach Salsa – Number 21

This is so near completion, and I shared it last month. I bought some Pebeo oil markers at the amazing Black Friday sale at Jerry’s Artarama in Tempe, Arizona. I will use them to straighten some of the lines and then apply the final varnish.

Dragon Maiden – Number 22

I also started on one I had begun many months ago for the series I call “Maiden, Mother, Crone.” I’m attempting to paint women at different stages of their life having a mystical encounter with nature. This one I’m calling “Dragon Maiden.” I need to do more work on the dragon in the forefront and on the maiden’s face before calling it complete. I had great fun painting the baby dragon!

Seattle Swing – Number 23

This is the fourth painting in the “Dancing in the Street” series. I am trying to capture scenes from places my husband and I love. The dancing figures represent us, although they don’t look like us. I am trying to capture the dancing couple superimposed on an emerald since Seattle is nicknamed “The Emerald City.” I do like the use of the piano keys as the sidewalk. What do you think?

Takeaways

I plan to meet my goal of finishing 25 paintings before the end of the year. After that, I plan to focus more on the marketing aspect. You may have seen many of my posts on both Instagram and Facebook. Let me know if you think it’s too much sales pitch and if there’s something more that I can share.

Thank you all again for your continued support and wishing you all a season full of blessings and joy!
